Project Updates

Over 900 tonnes of structural steel will be used in this project which is about the same weight of 9 blue whales.

Approx. 720 tonnes of rebar/mesh is estimated to be used which equates to the weight of around 100 elephants.

It is estimated that 3200 m3 of concrete will be used in this project equating to 1.28 Olympic size swimming pools or 32,000 wheelbarrows.

DCU has grown its student population by more than 50% over the last 5 years, hosting 18,500 students over 6 campuses with a total of 80 buildings.
